Handler stated that she is “unapologetic” about not having kids and believes that more women should be open about being “childless by choice.” Whoopi then stood up in her seat and leaned over the desk, saying, “The answer is NO!” and adding that people should not make it their business to ask Handler about her personal decisions regarding having children.
The conversation then shifted to Whoopi’s own career, with co-host Joy Behar asking if her role on “The View” was not fun for her. Whoopi clarified that both her roles on “The View” and as Miss Willa on the series “Godfather of Harlem” were enjoyable and that she felt grateful to have the job she does.
Whoopi’s defense of Handler and her own job comes amid criticism from some fans who have called for her to be fired from “The View” due to previous controversial statements and actions on the show.
